I have AFV Club's special M41A2 Walker BullDog release in JGSDF livery. I believe it includes a metal barrel. But, that's a pretty expensive way to get one for your Tamiya kit - might as well build that one.

I thought there was another one out there, or planned, but I can't find it at the moment. I'll shout if I come across it - if no one else does...

Thanks.. unfortunately I dont have the resources or cash to make my own metal barrels. So buying them is my only option. =(

A quick Google search makes it look like Barrel Depot and Jordi Rubio bothe make barrels for M41s. The Tamiya kit has been out a long time -- I'm sure there are others out there.

Barrel Depot makes a metal barrel especially for the Tamiya M41. It is #35018 and does not come with a muzzle brake. I believe there is a newer release that comes with a yellow metal muzzle brake. I have the one without the muzzle brake and it ran about $12. The one with muzzle brake is more.

Another company is Brassbarrels
They list theirs for $8.95 plus S&H.
