Hi all,
First post here. I'm getting back into the hobby after giving it up about 15 years ago, and have decided to jump in at the deep end by doing a diorama. For this, I need a PK photographer (Heer, not SS) looking thru the camera lens, in a summer uniform. Anyone know of such a figure? I've seen a Waffen SS figure but I definitely need army.
Thanks

Hi Jason,
Firstly welcome to Armorama and Kitmaker
IIRC DML did a propaganda photographer and/or cameraman, but I suspect it was only available as part of an AFV kit. Couldn't you convert a binocular holding figure? I'd imagine the poses would be similar...
Sorry I can't be of more help

Perfect! Thanks guys. My original intentions were for a stills photographer, but this one with a film camera is even better because it's far more obvious that he's PK.
My diorama will depict a Stug III rolling into downtown Stalingrad in mid-September 1942. Clustered on it are weary infantrymen who are craning their necks, smiling, etc. at the cameraman. The PK photographer is therefore the focus of the scene. I've got several photos of just such a scene as reference.
Thanks again

Rudi, just out of interest, do you remember what kit this was? A friend told me that there was a big gun (possibly 60cm Karl?) that might have a suitable figure. Does that ring a bell?

Jason,
I'm not sure. I was sure it was a Pz IV or something similar
I'll try remember to have a look tonight when I'm home.

Hello all,
FYI, there's this one from MK35:
http://www.mk35.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=104&category_id=17&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1&lang=fr
I am not sure about the uniform being 100% correct but it is a different and interesting figure. I have both (Hornet and MK35) and this one is in resin and very well moulded.
Cheers
JD
