I have just finished my first diorama (https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/143265&page=1), and altough it was just 50% on my satisfaction scale, I will not give it up, and just decided to start the building of my 2nd one:)
I have already built a year ago an M2 Bradley participating the OIF. And just yesterday I've found a picture, which could be a base for a nice dio:
I have no idea, what was the plan of these guys, they might by a volunteered bulldozers? - or they just simply taking a good firing position? (by the way the open hatches, and the commander in the tower suggest no enemy in range), but overall the picture is so crazy, that i have to build it...
and here is my Bradley (note: the dust and the scratches on the vehicle's side just a sily effect from the Photoshop, but i haven't found the original photo - I guess i have deleted it):
I will modify the position of the wheels, and I had to remove the last side skirt as well.

Looks pretty good. A few recommendations: The tracks are way too clean and dust-free to be in Iraq and having just driven over/through a wall. They need some dust and shiney spots from wear on them. The whole vehicle needs some more dirt and dust at the least, it is way too clean for where it is and what it is doing. The .30 cal ammo boxes on the turret bustle rack should be painted dark green from the center dividing line up. The lower part is the bracket and should be sand, the upper part is the ammo can and is dark green. LAstly, the return roller between the last and next to last road wheel on the left side should be black around teh outside, it is a rubber-coated wheel like the road wheels. Good job overall. A few tweaks and some weathering and it will be great.

Great work, I agree with the points already raised though.
Actually while I think this is excellent I think it would have even more impact if the wall section was raised higher and actually infront on the Bradley. Like in the reference photo. Right now it looks like the Bradley is driving over an already collapsed wall, if the wall section was repositioned it would look like it was driving through the wall.
All in all wonderful work though. I love the paint job on the Bradley! Are the markings on the turret painted free hand?

Thanks guys for your comments:)
Gino, I have added some dirt to the tracks, and planning to recolour the upper parts of the racks and give the rubber colour to the return roller. And after that I would apply some more dust to the vehicle.
Parallel I have got an idea, and I would like to ask the community:
I have moved the soldier to the sidewalk, and I would like to add a broken/destroyed bicycle to the bottom right corner. I have found only the Tamiya set of Wehrmacht bikers, which had a lot of AM opportunities. Do you think is it match to this modern scene? In Hungary there are a lot of bike in the rural parts of the country which looks like that oldies...
Finally some new pics with the dust, and the soldier in new position.

It's looking better. A little more weathering on the hull and it will be great. The repositioning of the soldier looks good too. I think a bike would look great. I'm noy sure how the older bike will look, but it might work. There is also a little more modern bike in the Dragon NVA figure set. I have used it and it looks pretty good.
Keep up the good work.

You answered your question. Yes, more than likely, they are just taking up a good hull down firing position.

Istvan,
Great work on the diorama, like the way you subtly adjusted the stowed gear on the sides of the Bradley as seen in the original photo to reflect the angle as it is presently depicted. Look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Excellent work!! Quite creative in the use of a Bradley as a ramming device. I heard they used them to knock down the doors that seemed to always be barred closed. What a subtle entry.
