Guy's firstly what I need to know is what version of the Humvee would the sniper squad of the HQ company with in a Stryker Brigade use?
Secondly does any one do a figure of a sniper with M107 LRSR in a relaxed/non aiming pose?

No idea on what type of HMMWV it would be. Most likely an up-armored M1151 if in Iraq or A'stan though. It is the lowest level of HMMWV used. More likely is an MRAP though. Most up-armored HMMWVs are being replaced by MRAPs.
Dragon has an M107 in their Desert Storm era sniper set. You could use theat weapon with a modern soldier at rest to make your sniper. Unless you are looking for a sniper in a ghillie suit, they look no different than any other soldier.

Cheers Gino
Now I might be stating the obvious but would that be the Tamiya weapons carrier with .50cal version plus a conversion set?
I know squat about Humvee's just want something to go with the wonderful AFV Club Stryker's (yes 3, M1126, M1128 and M1130) I picked up. Doing some research on the SBCT and found the sniper squad so thought that would add something different.
Now to move the braile and sub braile (1/144) scale off the work bench and do some 1/35 Mmmm.... haven't touched 1/35 armour in......

According to FKSM 71-8, Armor/Cavalry Reference Data, Brigade Combat Teams, the sniper squad is organic to the Stryker Brigade's infantry battalions' HHC, not the Brigade HHC. The manual is dated 2005, so I'm not sure if that has changed. The vehicle listed is described as either the M998 or M1038, along with either an M1101 or M1102 trailer. The M1114 is in the manual. I would assume by now that the usage of unarmored M998/M1038 in the field has given way to at least the first level of uparmored vehicles, which in the Army's case was the M1114. By now as Gino said the M1151 is probably more likely.
I would have to say I highly doubt the an MRAP would be the vehicle chosen. So far the majority of stories I read about MRAPs being fielded by the Army involve field artillery units converted to infantry, support units such as sustainment brigades (including their transportation elements) and engineers, national guard units, and advisory detachments and the like, like PRTs. The MRAP's weight and size limitations have caused a certain level of consternation, with many units appearing to have opted for the up-armored HMMWVs until the next generation of solutions are ready (JLTV, M-ATV, ECV2, what have you).

Thanks Joe, the info I'm going from is the WWP - Stryker in detail part two (2008) book which lists the sniper squad as under the Headquarter, Headquarters company 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment "Headhunters"
Although it goes into detail with the Strykers it only lists the HMMWV as such unless they are the shelter or M997 ambulance versions.
This is what it says of the sniper squad
'The sniper squad has a single HMMWV and M1101 3/4 ton cargo trailer and is a modular organization consisting of a squad leader and two identically equipped three man sniper teams. Each team is capable of providing the battalion with a full range of sniper support '
It goes on to say what their equipped with and what roles they carry out.
Unless anyone comes up with anything different I'll go with the M1151.
