Hi Gaoyue,

Always nice to hear from you here. Great hand master there.
Will all the rivets on the armour stay?
Are those also rivets on the turret?

Very impressive bolt detail.

Please make the tracks as equally detailed.

Any sneak peaks of the AMOS version?

What is the timeline for distribution?

Well, it's not the entire line, but an impressive start. I especially enjoy that the LVKV is coming as a modell, that's my little baby...haha
I worked with this vehicles for 10 years now, so I really looking forward to build the modells, both regulars and C- versions

I have 2 questions to the guys that build this modell;
- I can't see the protective visor for the sight, will that piece be on the model when they are out on the market?
- The extra armour in front of the vehicle, the triagular piece looks like it has the same angel as the armour above the engine, is it so or do I just see wrong. On the live vehicle that extra armour slope a little compare to the engine armour.

Outher than that, It looks realy good, looking forward to buy this models,

Great image Martin. Excellent comment on the angle of the front hull....hopefully it is correct on the kit.

Any idea how the vehicles performed in Liberia?

Some of the guys in my old unit was sent on a fact finding mission about the CV90 in Liberia. In short it performed very well and was used on rather long patrols. One of the big problems was the humid air. The CV90 interior quickly turned green with mildew when stored. This was solved with a dry air system much like in every military garage. I'm sure there are some Swedes here with more information.

Erik

Hmmm, I guess I have to do a really good walkaround of a CV9030 now...

Hi Erik,

Thanks for the info....I am leaning towards a UN CV90 once the kit is out....unless of course Canada decides to purchase the CV90 as a replacement for the LAV III.

Sounds good, I guess that will be my choise as well. Hopefully there will be a 9030 as well. Then I have plans for the first CV90 which fired a shot in anger.

Very nice to know....but in terms of accuracy the only Canadian LAV IIIs that served with the UN were in Eritrea, Africa....and they did NOT have the add-on armour mounted.

In terms of providing accurate markings if the Trumpeter LAV III has the add-on armour mounted you would be better served to include some SFOR and ISAF decals.

I served in Liberia 2004, and as said, It performed very well, better then expected. Some problems with humidity, and some problems during to the long marches in very high tempature, but overall worked just fine.

I can provide detailed pictures and wearing info when the modells are realised, if anyone is intressted.

100% for sure I would like to see your images. The red earth weathering looks fantastic on the vehicles.....probably not so much fun when you are working on the vehciles.
