This may be more appropriate in the figure forum, but seen as these chaps are designed to be used directly with the jeep i thought id post it here.
Remember this mysterious SAS jeep seen as Shiz 09, well it turns out those figures arent just plastic ones, but are in fact resin figures that company Swash design (guys who make the insane 1/35 metal bikes) You can see a pic of them over at Calvin Tan's blog as he prepares to paint them for the box art:

They sure look pretty smart, gota say I really love the LRDG guy in the large coat.

Hi Rob
The guy in the coat looks very similar to a figure created by Young Miniatures some time ago don't you think? He was much bigger though, not 1/35th scale.

It's probably because Hiroyuki Ishii sculpted the Young Miniatures (70mm) figure as well as these new 1/35 scale figures.

...and the other figures look very similar to the wonderful ones done by John Rosengrant a few years ago. I don't think he made these commercial, only for a set piece he did.
Just noting the similarity, not trying to imply anything by the way. Obviously all would use photo reference for inspiration.

That would explain it. Thanks Rudi. Shame the Young's one is no longer sold.

Hi
Just noted the news item on the up and coming figure from Evolution. Wow, what with that, these and the ones from New World Miniatures the SAS Desert Patrol's certainly getting great exposure and subjects lately. Now if Tamiya could make sure there is plenty of the Chevies available. Re-released and out, I can't seem to find it in stock anywhere

I think the similarity between the two jeep crew and John Rosengrants figs in probably down to the fast both sculptors used that famous pic as reference.
But, yer as you say Alan, these and the new Evo figs mean fans of SAS stuff are going to be pleased. Now perhaps someone will do a new, better detailed SAS jeep.
