Well, I somehow got ahold of the Bronco Humber Scout car. The instructions call for the engine bay to be white. A quick google later gave me engine bay pics (Not enough, but...you can never have enough!). One set showed the engine bay in white (restored vehicle) and another set had everything in the engine bay dark green (vehicle that was about to be restored). The white shows off the engine better, but what would the vehicle have had during WWII? The green engine bay could have been a repaint sometime between WWII and now, so the restored vehicle with white is a possibility.....
Thanks!

Hi Matthew,
I would go with the same as the exterior, which would be either SCC 2 "Service Drab" or, from 1944 on SCC 15 "Olive Drab".
cheers

It should be either silver or white. Brit vehicles interiors were all either silver or while depending upon when they were built. In this case I'd bet on white being more likely.
The interior of an engine compartment would never be the exterior colour as it's just too hard to service anything in a dark interior and the engine covers would keep anyone from seeing the white while in action.

Thanks, everyone! I think I'll go with white. It does makes a little more visual sense from the maintenance standpoint.....

"Mister" Roberts is correct. White looks good to me. In fact, here is a link to Humber SC engine
photos I've got up at WarWheels.Net.

Yes, those are the photos I found with the white compartment. Do you have any other photos, specifically the right side of the compartment. In your photos, on the right side toward the back, is a bracket with a black cylindrical thing with pipes coming out the top and leading down. This doesn't seem to be in the kit.
