When I first saw this box diorama at Overloon, I could not help my self and think at the scene of the movie ''The longest Day'' where a German bunker officer saw the invasion fleet for the first time. Eric has caught the same atmosphere in this diorama.

Wonderful piece of work! I really like the backdeop out the window. Leaves no doubt what the builder is saying. Question: Wouldn'ta panzerfaust have too much back blast to be used safely in an enclosed building?

Very Nice dio, it might be enough inspiration to pull me off my current 120MM project and do a nice small 1/35th subject of some sort for a while.

I agree with all the accolades already given.

That has to be my favorite part of "The Longest Day". (or, the Red Buttons paratrooper hanging from the steeple at Ste.Mere Eglise!)

Great work Eric. The whole scene is imaginative and well put together, The incoming soldier putting on his coat in a hurry adds all the life the scens needs. Congratualions on the award... well deserved!

Thanks guys for all your kind words about this little diorama .
As always it was fun to build because it was something completely different than the usual kit with wheels .
Also a big thanks to Raod kill who made this presentation for Armorama

Yes it is almost finished !!!!!
After one year of intens work the bridge is almost finished.......
