Always wanted a Stryker , so started one , got all the Eduard for it , and have hit a big old wall on it .

Had to make one of the armour panels as the eduard kit was for the TACP version.
The weapon station....

So , started doing the slat and got instantly bored , and looked at the amount of work involved and instantly thought of some-thing else.
Stuck.

John.

That's a pity, cos it looks great so far.

I've never gone for the slat: it just looks like too much work. Someone will eventually bring out plastic ready-made slat....

Cheers,
Sean

John, this Stryker looks EXCELLENT!!! All the nice details you have on it make me want to get one right now and build it!

Keep going with it. Do a little at a time. When I get the same way about a build I make sure I stop modeling for a few days (completely) and when I get the bug again I tell myself to work on it for a few minutes at a time (30 min max) so as to not get bored again with it. I also make sure that during the period I stop I find something that will inspire me to continue (movie, magazine, documentary - about the subject) until I am completely back in the swing. In this case, you can watch that nice show they run on the Stryker on the military channel to get you going or watch Youtube for clips on the stryker in Iraq, etc. The key here is that when you get the bug again, don't over do it with the assembling of parts. As mentioned, start small, perhaps first just cutting and cleaning the PE pieces for your first session. After that, repeat the same but for bending the pieces, gluing, etc. I know it may take a little longer to finish it but at least you will finish it.

Just some thoughts on how I would handle working on this. You've got a wonderful piece here that you really should finish it (especially since you mentioned you've alwats wanted to build one).

Thanks Sean and Rob , will do the slat a bit at a time while doing a Sherman I have all-ways wanted to do a little bit more than the Stryker .
Thanks for your words Rob , hope-fully will not get bored of it if I include it in with the sherman.
Thanks again,
John

Same happened to me early last year, spent loads on the PE, Scratch built an entire Interrior, painted the Digi Camo on six figure and then started building the Slat Armour..

Had two sections built them bang I hit that same wall, its just been siting there since looking at me!

..not looking to finish it anytime soon though, I've to many projects I want to do..

..BTW your Stryker looks great if its any consilation!
