Thanks for the replay
i am not sure how to paint a SS artillery officer for collar and shoulder streps
I have also noticed an armband on the left sleeves of the SS artillery crew does it apply to officers ONLY or is it common to all officers and troops?

Piping collars were generally standard across the branches of service (with specific reference to WSS and Heer), so red was used for artillery for both Heer and WSS, white for infantry in both, pink for panzer, etc.
The red armband would more likely have been worn by Algemeine-SS (spelling?) and other political division than Waffen-SS (WSS) and combat troops: I'd imagine that red armband stood out like a big target

Hi Stefano,
Okay, you're referring to the cuff-titles, which in the case of WSS was a divisional cuff title. You'd have to research the exact colours if you're planning on representing a particular division, but I think generically the band was black cloth with a white or aluminium script. To represent it in scale I'd paint the band black (or even a very dark grey), and the script in a pale grey.
The color of the piping on the collar insignia and the shoulder boards were the same.

Yes, the cuff title was worn in the field by both officers and enlisted men. I don't think it was worn on the padded winter suit or camouflage uniforms, but that's not really relevant in the case of your artillery crew.
