Neil get a couple of the Tamiya ones they are cheap but very basic, they should meet your needs.

If you get totally stuck there's a few places here still selling them so I'm sure I could hunt one down for you.

I'd like to see that, got to be a first

Neil.
I notice a fair few on ebay so you shouldn't have any trouble getting a couple.

The Zvesda one is a re[pop of the Italeri 6 pdr/M 1 57mm whose heritage is from the Max peerless kit and has also been released by Max, , Airfix and Tomy that I know of. It isn't bad but it is an early shorter Barrel Mk II more suited for NA or the Med. It is better than the Tamiya one which loosely represents a Mk IV with Muzzle brake. A replacement Muzzle Brake can be sourced from the Armourscale 6 pdr Tank Gun.
The Resicast ones are great (They do the specific Airborne Variant (& a great crew) but it costs an arm, leg and first born.
Cheers
Al
