I noticed on the ranks i needed 200 forum posts to become a captain, i have made 208 so far and the rank hasnt changed, why not?

Phil, from what I understand you need your posts to be cumulative at one site. Look at your message header and you will see:

Posts: 210 entire network, 188 this site

You are still 12 posts short on Armorama from being promoted.

um...if I hover over your rank it says "captain"

as of this writing you have 189 post on this network....211 total

Yes it's not a site calculated thing but there are forums whose posts do not accrue your rank total... but now I am foggy as to how all that was written.
