The M4A3 saw service in NWE starting in late Summer/early Fall '44.

The M4A3 was the preferred version used by the US Army, they reserved almost the entire production run for themselves. While some equipped Marine battalions in Iwo and Okinawa, the vast majority saw service in the US Army in the ETO.

I've done some Tamiya 1/48th kits and I am interested in the quality and fit of the Hobby Boss kits. So, I"ll be watching this one for things like that.

I renamed and posted it as a blog for you

the fit is usually good. no major filling or anything, i construckted my Beute KV in very little time, this one so far is going together well.
they are quite cheap aswell, i pick mine up for around £6 pus £3 P+P

much cheaper than the £20 tamiya kits, and worth lookign into

Dependent on which part, the oxide beneath was either red, grey or non-existent. In a pinch, I'd do red oxide. But also know that US equipment had very good painting adhesion. Don't do the "chipped paint" overdose on any WW2 US vehicle -- I would say.

One other note for future reference: the white stars were mostly sprayed on. The white stars with circles were definitely sprayed on. I see you tried to show some paint drips -- just something to add here for you.

Nice job overall. Good to see more 48th scale stuff built up. Tonight, I have an appointment with a Tamiya 1/48 StuG IIIG

Hey Roy! ill try out some RO underneath to see hot it fares first!
and the story behind the drips= i placed sown the transfers, then painted over them, and just added a few drips for interest, i know its not P.E.C but im sure there were instances that the marking wer painted?
