I am trying to clean the flash off the roadwheels on a DML Stug III A. I am having problems with the center of the hub, There is a ring of flash inside the wheel lugs. I am trying to clean it up without wrecking the lug details. Would it be easiest to just sand the whole thing and add the lugs back? If so how do I make the bolt lugs. Here are some pics. It is the best I could do the parts are pretty small.

Steve,
I can't see from your pictures what your issue is, but in that small a setting, I would think that rebuilding lugs is going to be a nightmare.
Can you get an Xacto #11 blade in there to carefully fix it this way?

Its looks almost like ejector pin rings with some raised flash, just inside the lugs

Are there any prototype photos? It looks like a grease plug fitting area?

I know what you're talking about. Are you sure there isn't a piece for the center hub detail that will cover it up? If not I would try either a #11 blade or a chisel style blade to clean it up, very carefully. Or maybe cover up the flaws with some mud?
