hi, I really liked to know what kind of mines the Germans used on Omaha beach. I am now making I dio from the whole beach. I will send some photo's later!!

Laurie, there were several types of mines Germans used during WW2. I am not sure which ones they specifically used during the Normandy landings but here are some of the more popular ones:
1) Tellermine - this was an anti-tank mine. It looked like a big plate turned upside down. This was probably the most common anti-tank mine.
2) Topfmine - another anti-tank mine. This one was made out of glass.
3) Holzmine and Panzershnellmine were both anti-tank mines made out of wood.
4) Shutzenmine and Sprengmine were both anti-personel mines. These were what we call today Bouncing Bettys.
5) Glassmine - this was another anti-personle mine and it was made out of glass.
