Hi!
This is my Skif Strela done using Eduards PE for added details, track are from Fruilmodel and a little bit of scratchbuilding. Weathering is done with pigments. This is not as good as most of your builds here i guess. Comments are welcome. Thanks for viewing guys!

hello tony, my reference have several photos in an exercise in which the tank went into a mud pool and waded in. It shows the tank prior to dipping, during the wading wherein the mud water reaches almost to the roof then have several post wading pictures with dried mud. I have tried to replicate it but this is the best I could do. Would take your advice on it. Thanks!

Looks very nice. Does this kit come with an interior?

Very nice work, well worth showing off.

The weathering is deceptively overdone, but you are right, there are plenty of photo references that show this level of mud accumulation. I think it seems a little stark between the greens of the vehicle and the heavy contrast between your mud colors( light tan and red-brown). That makes it seem a bit busy, but that is not a criticism.

Thanks Daryl, The kit has a basic interior in it but you could detail it with Eduards PE.

Hello Jacques, thanks for the inputs. I think I need lots and lots of practice on this. I have finished this kit 4 years ago and thats the time when i was just returning to the hobby and was just trying out new methods on weathering. Thanks again, point well taken.

Looks really good!
I also had this kit, but stopped building after glueing.
I think, my skills are not good enough for this unique kit.

greetings...

Always nice to see a Strela finished. I've never got that far..

I see you have used the Eduard set? How did you get the Missile housings so neatly down?

Thanks guys!

Jurjen,
Yes I have used both of Eduards external and internal PE for this. Details on this kit is basic and craves for detailing. The missile housing was a pain actually, you have to remove each and every molded on handles on each for sides and have to do it 4 times! Then comes the tasks of sanding it then applying the PE replacement parts. I used the regular scalpel and a micro chisel to get into that tight spot and a lot of patience.

I know your pain with the missile housings... I tried to scratch them but they proved to be to difficult. Or my lack of patience... Anyway, I'm proud on you!

So what will be your next build?

Cheers!
