I'm not really up on my radio sets, so does anyone know if there is a AN/URC-58 VHF radio set available in 1/35?
I believe they were/are used on boats. I know the PACV & swift boats used them in Vietnam.
Any information would be gratefully received as normal.

The AN/URC-58 set is also called RF 301. Here's a picture :

You can find a manufacturer's brochure here :

Thanks for the information Frenchy,
I haven't been able to find a 1/35 version of this so I may use a radio out of the old Verlinden NATO radio sets, it will be in side a cabin so you won't see too much of it and should be close enough.
Thanks

The AN/URC-58 looks to be a bit larger than the RT-524 used with the AN/VRC-46 (and included in Verlinden's set). Here you can see both sets in a Mark I Swift Boat :

Here are the dimensions I've found for the AN/URC-58 in millimeters : 440x360x200 (to be confirmed )

It seems a little scratch building is in order then! I guess starting of with a fairly simple thing like a radio shouldn't defeat me
Thanks for the photos and dimensions Frenchy.
