Can someone tell me if the Crusader AA tank had a storage bin in the back of the turret. The kit includes it and many artists renderings show it but i haven't seen one in a period picture.

All of the Crusader kits by Italeri include the two halves for the turret stowage box. These were left over from the original Crusdaer III and were marked as parts 82 and 82 on B sprue. They are listed as 82 and 83 in the Crusader Mk II kit and parts 74 and 75 in the Crusader MK I kit. They are included in both of the AA versions but not numbered. Bottom line is (based on my resaerch) they are not for use on either AA version. This type of rear turret stowage box was only used on the actual gun tank variants (again check your referances) and not on the AA versions. There is a photograph on page 82 of ARMOUR PHOTOGALLERY NO 6 - CRUSADER which shows a stowage box on the rear of the turret on a Crusader AA MK III but it bears no resemblence to the kit parts. Other photos in the book show either small or large bundles or tarps strapped on the rear of the turrets.
Hope this helps
