Here are some interesting new stuff from Blast Models for those who have some OIF AFVs on their workbench : Bradley updated running gear (wheels+new tracks ) AAVP7 updated running gear (wheels+new tracks ) and, last but not least new Hummer wheels ("agressive pattern"). These sets are to be issued at the end of this month but they take pre-orders (like the one I have just send ...) Have a look at their website www.blast-models.com
PS I am not on their payroll

Frenchy,

Sounds good to me, just about done with a couple of Bradley's. Good thing that Tamiya still uses the poly-caps to make them removable. The pictures of the Blast Models stuff looks really nice, fill us in when you get them!

Thanks,
Chris

Nice to see your presence on this site. Welcome aboard.
Have you seen any of the reissued Tammy OIF stuff or the Dragon K5 yet?

Damn it ! You are right : I've just ordered a set of Goo Year tires !!! Since these are not supposed to be released before the end of the month, I hope this will be corrected in time

Hi Guys,

Well yes, I didn't notice the missing "D" till now. On checking the wheels more closely this time, the "D" is missing from the embossing on the outside face but it is on the inside face.

I've sent an e-mail off the Blast Models and will keep you posted on the reply.
If you hear a big OOOPS! coming from Paris, you'll know why.

There isn't any more news on the release date for the Tamiya OIF updated kits, They have two of their fully assembled kits scheduled for release in July, the Tiger I and Stug III.

Both the Dragon and Trumpeter Leopolds are due for release this month as is the 54cm Karl from Dragon, my credit card is going to look pretty sick but I'll be posting reviews as soon as they are available.

Cheers

Hi again,

The word from Blast Models is the missing D is an unfortunate and embarrassing oversight or as they say a good old fashioned typo.
It isn't a copyright issue as the inside tyre wall has the D included.
Future sets should have the correction made, but personally I don’t think this detracts from the overall good quality of the wheels as the omission is only noticeable on close inspection and especially given the excellent hub details, tread pattern and the ease of fitting to the Tamiya kit.
It is also good that some manufacturers respond positively to these things and are willing to make corrections as they did with front fenders on the Tiran 5 update set.

Cheers
