Hello all,

i would like to find out if anyone makes after market wading trunks for M4A3, M4A2 or M3A1 USMC tanks. I seem to remember some magazine article on making your own. I think they had prints. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tank Workshop offers resin deep wading stacks (or trunks, if you prefer) for the basic M4, as well as USMC and British M4A2 Shermans. They don't offer the M4A3 type, though the Italeri USMC Sherman includes deep wading stacks for the M4A2 and M4A3 (two different plastic bases for the engine deck trunk). The rest of the kit is mediocre, but it could be kit bashed a Dragon Sherman. The early M4/M4A1 stacks as used on Sicily are scratchbuilt in Steven Zaloga's Osprey book, "Modelling the US Army M4 (75mm) Sherman Medium Tank." The chapter includes scale templates to make the parts yourself. It's available discounted through Amazon. There is also a companion volume on the 76 mm variants.
No aftermarket sources of Stuart wading trunks that I am aware of.

Anyway, M3A1
You'll need this just to make it a correct M3A1 USMC
M3A1 Update
M3A1 Stack
For the earily M3A1 wading stack I' put in some photos when I get a chance,
