Thats a fantastic model, you've done a great job on it! Kudos for getting to grips with those new techniques. Can't wait to see it on a dio !
Will.

Jim- by all means - take it! Glad to see that you found a kit! Yours looks quite similar to mine. IIRC, the sprues were packed into three or so bags. The worst warping was on the upper hull part. It's still a littel crooked, even ProWelded onto the hull. The side panels weren't too badly warped - about like yours, and I just glued them on, holding them in place with masking tape. The ladders on the side of the skirts were broken into several pieces, and were completely FUBAR. They (luckily) were not on all examples, likely removed to prevent the enemy from climbing up, so I didn't scratchbuild any replacements. As for the turrets, the smallest ones aren't too bad, but the larger ones - be careful. I used masking tape to keep them in place as the welder dried. I also placed the roofs in the turrets to make sure they were true vertically. All in all, it was a nice challenge - but it'll be a really interesting subject that gets me to buy another *&^$% Eastern European kit again! I'm looking forward to see how yours comes out.
The references...ouch.
Thanks Will. I try new techniques on all of my builds, so I try to improve on each one...try being the operative word! I will make a dio for it...sometime. I'm working on figures for it right now, very slowly.

another one of my dream builds, looking at the wrapping, it's a purebred East eurocrap kit
but hé that's not gonna scare us hé.
but I have this topic in Fav , one fine day I'll find one at an affordable price, and then it'll be my turn to punch rivets, and glue my fingers to the table/kit
greetz, intresting topic/links
thanks all

THanks, jointhepit! I hope you can find one. It shouldn't scare you, it's really quite enjoyable to build once you get the tough parts out of the way. Misery loves company, they say!

and jointhepit, to add to what Scott said- this kit has been discontinued so whatever is out there is all there is until/unless someone else makes them.
not too bad a price here. it's cheaper than what I paid:

UPDATE: just got a set of Fruil tracks and an awesome Eduard PE kit to add to mine when I start on it. may have to check out some metal barrels.

Scott , a nice build on a very unique subject . I like the job you did on the figures also , from what I can see there is nice shading and sharp lines .
