G'day fellas,
just two questions about the exterior of an March to April '03 AAVP.
First is, was the MOLLE or the ILBE gear more common seen hanging of the sides in this period ?
And second, how could I easily build the new antenna masts/mounts that came with SINCGARS update ?
TIA
Alex

The ILBE wasn't being issued in early OIF, there were mostly MOLLE packs with a few ALICE packs still in the mix. The ALICE gear was more prevalent in the reserve units. The Marines were testing replacements for the MOLLE pack which wasn't too popular after problems with it in Afghanistan.

It won't mean much outside the US or the train community, but the thread immediately brought to my mind an armored Acela with M1 Abrams turrets on the sleeper cars....
Or maybe I should cut back on the spicy foods at lunch?
