Hey Andrew,

All I can say is, nice, very nice, like the way its simple but shows the how dusty the desert really is, "been there, done that".

No no no, its all wrong! Historicaly speaking it needs.......lol just kidding, historically correct or not it looks like a good build. Maybe on the next drystack wall you can add another thiner size rock to give it a little more depth. I like it though good job!

Overall very nice! Great groundwork (especially the walls) and two very nice vehicles. What would really make it complete, in my humble opinion, is a tree (be it a paltree or something else) at the rear of the base between the Stag and the Carrier. This would make the contrast between the 'tankers' taking a rest and the infantry marching in the dead heat even bigger. Just my 2 cents!

Andrew, looks good to me. A few plants as suggested, maybe some discarded ration cans tosed on the other side of the wall? But it looks good the way it is too!

Hello,

Very nice indeed.
The figures looks quite good but the pics are a little too small.
Any chance you take close up pics ?

Thanks

Andrew,
A very nico dio indeed. I like how you represented the infantry marching along, while the fellows in the vehicle seem to be taking a break. A lot of nice touches in this dio. The only thing that seemed off is in the 8th picture, the right rear tire of the Staghound seems to be "floating". Or could it be that it just came to a sudden stop, so as no to drive off the dio and unweighted the back wheel? Your dio has given me some ideas for some N. Africa armor dios. Thank you very much for sharing this well done work of yours
Cheers
Dave

Great diorama. How did you get that great dust effect,? And how did you know when you had the right ammount to give the scene the right feel ? I tend to over do it . The added figures do complete the scene ,but maybe a crewman or two hanging out of the stags hatches. In your first pictures I wondered where the 4 guys from the stag were. 3 man crew for carrier but no ac crew ,In that heat I wouldn't stay in that tin box if I didn't need too. Maybe they're out of scene having a cuppa ... Jim

Thanks for the fee back Jim, the dust is pure luck the base is made of sieved builders sand which is sprinkled on to the large area were the vehicles are which is molded out of wall filler painted with sand colored paint then again with pva glue and the sand on top of that. Same goes for the path area which is the same but i used the bigger bits from the sieved sand for that bit.the walls are simply laid out wall filler let to dry and crumbled up painted and then given a lite brush with sand colored pigments.
Once the figure's were dry i lightly ran a tamyia pigment sponge over them to hi light there raised creased area's.
Then both the vehicles and figures were then placed and given a lite brush with the same pigment. making sure i only did there bottom half, All in all just pure beginners luck i think.

Thanks for the close up, worth looking !
The website you refer to seems to be cool also. I'm gonna have a look there.
The dragon set looks very promising. Thanks to you I guess it will get off the shelves and be spread on the work bench.
Who's the manufacturer of the tanker on the last pic, he seems to be very well detailled and quite natural.
