Guys I need some more help with another HMMWV. I found this photo on the UK's Defence Image web site (very good site), firstly you'll notice it's crewed by UK troops, so question is what version is this and any idea as to the markings? There is no front or rear photo.

Its an M1114, and seems to be fitted with some of the mods seen on special forces Humvees-namely the rear stowage tray and side ammo trays. No idea as to the markings and why its crewed by Brits.

Looks like an M1114 based vehicle (I had initially thought it might've been an M1151 type, but after closer inspection I have to agree with the above poster) for special operations, ala the GMV. The markings on the doors could have something to do with the combat locks installed on the M1114, which require a special procedure to get open from the outside in an emergency situation.

Sorry guy's this is the caption that goes with the photo -
Pictured are members of the Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team (OMLT) as they conduct patrols in a Humvee vehicle near to the Forward Operating Base in Sperwenghar (FOB), Afghanistan. The FOB is situated 38 kilometres West of Kandahar and is occupied by troops from Canada, USA and a small contingent of British troops who make up the Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team (OMLT).

well I worked with some of these OMLT guys in afghanistan as an ETT. good guys. a lot of times the britts did not have their own vehicles so they got Hummers from the us that are Theater Provided Equipment (TPE) then they pass them on to their replacements and they do not fall under the same dumb restrictions as we do so they modify the heck out of them and usually get a lot of their ideas from ODA teams and the equipment from them as well. they are not running any kind of WARLOCK system and the turret looks to be a little old school. many us are not allowed to run the old USMC style turrets. i do like the placement of the MK-19 rounds behind the gunner though. a little dangerous but when i riding around in combat trying not to get blown up safe? it is a pain in the butt to get those ammo cans up out of the compartment when trying to re-load. The doors look to be old school as well. i can not see at all anywhere on the door for combat lock access. and the doors are thin like in the begining of the war and do not have the locking mechinsem (Spelling) on the outter side of the door. and the armour may be type II armour, before the heavier type III for the M1114's and M1151's. only reason I say that is because of the doors.
