Hi All,

I am building a winter Dio featuring a Soviet White scout car C/w tarp. Now the vehicle in question will have a distressed winter camo scheme (peeling dirty off white over a shade of russian green/olive drab) but how about the tarp?

Would it have been white? or a just left plain green? or were they a different colour althogether?

Any help would be greatfully received.

Thanks in advance

Paul.

Just a guess on my part ,but I think they would have painted over the tarp when the vevicle was done. Most, but not all photos show a hit and miss kind of paint job (on tanks). Could be the paint they used ,weathering or just lousy painters. If the tarp was painted , the paint would not soak in too much , so if you flexed , folded the tarp , dry paint would chip off revealling the under color. Got an old cavas pup tent that was painted ,drops paint flakes like dandruff..lol Jim
