Dealing with Bronco A13 Tracks

So almost everyone is aware of the problem with the Bronco A13 rubber band style tracks that were issued with the kit. Much, much too tight!
This is how I got around them, without having to put together all of those little individual links that Bronco now sells.



They are so tight, that it creates a nasty bow.



What I did, was not actually attatch the track ends to eachother. I left 2 spaces empty on the drive sprocket.



I then placed 4 number 331 and one number 335 marrettes in the space between the track and the track guards. The tracks were glued to the wheels, idler and sprocket with CA.



The final effect is something like the sag you would see on the real thing in service. The gap left in the drive sprocket is completely covered by the rear dust shield.



Now I just have to finished the kit...something much harder to accomplish.
