I just put this together a few hours ago, The verlinden mail call figures I had painted a while back, and already had the plaster poored. I scribed in the bricks, and than painted them. Done the ground work put together the barrels and scratch built the crates, the tree was prebuilt just had to paint the trunk. It only took a little over a hour to complete. I would like someone to name it all I can think of is mail call.

PFC
First of all I really like the idea of this dio. I would change one thing, or better said, I would add something. I would add more figures that are waiting for mail or who just got mail and are reading. The news from home was a really valuable thing and a lot of soldiers were really waiting on news from mom and dad or the girlfriend. And another thing is: his bag is still filled with a lot of post for more people.
Further I like the groundworks wich is actually really good. the tree looks good. and I like the addition of the crates and the oildrums. they give the mailman a higher status. ]
I like the title: "the news from home" but another that came in mind is: It`s even better then Christmas"
Besides the fact that I would add more figures I would say that you have done an outstanding job in such little time......... great job

Thanks everyone for youre comments. Verlinden makes three more mail call figures setting on crates reading the mail I may get these to give a little more life to the dio.I find a person will complete a small project more often than a big one, these are really exciting to make.

I like the simplicity of the title "mail call"... stick with that!
As for additional figures, there are some nice "seated" figures of GI's available from DML that would look great sitting on the sidewalk or benchs nearby, reading their mail and sharing a smoke... and I think you get about 5 guys for $11.00 - alot cheaper than Verlinden Resin, and "almost" as detailed!
