I'm not quite sure but I seem to remember an honest John set (30 years ago ), might still be able to get it and was there ever a V2 system with truck transporter, I know there was the stand and missle set.

In 1:32nd scale you can find the Revell History Makers or the earlier Renwal MM-1 Teracruzer with Mace GLCM. It is basically detailed, and a big kit, but can be worked into a nice representation of the system. The Mace missile needing some reworking to produce a production missile. There were a couple of smaller scale Matador (preceeded the Mace) missiles on truck transporter/semi-trailer launchers available - but these kits are quite rare today. The manufacturer's name escapes me at the moment.

In 1:40th scale you had both Adams and Life-Like produce Honest John Field Artillery Rocket Launchers. Both quite nice (same kits - different decals) indeed. Revell produced a nice M4 (missile markings and colors in the kit's suggested finish was XM4E1 LaCrosse) LaCrosse Guided Missile Launcher. This was is a nice and well-detailed kit too.

Lesser quality than those above, the 1:32nd scale Renwal #560 LaCrosse Guided Missile Launcher was erroneously based on their M54 series 5-ton truck kit. The LaCrosse was never based on a 5-ton chassis. To produce this kit, Renwal stretched the dimensions of the LaCrosse and Launcher assemblies to make it fit the truck. Not to be used to build an accurate LaCrosse.

Same in the vein of rarity, Aurora produced a mythical 1:48th scale LaCrosse Guided Missile Launcher as based on the M8 high-speed Cargo Tractor. Someone, somewhere, sometime, might have pondered the possibility - but this too was not fielded or done up in prototype/mockup in so far for all the research I've done on the weapon system.

Monogram produced an equally rare kit (1:32nd scale I believe) of the Willys Jeep (should have been M38 Willys MC - but I think it was their WW II M3 Willys MB in reality) towing the XM-47 Little John airborne atomic rocket on it's Trailer/Launcher. This is a really expensive kit to try and obtain. Monogram also produced the LaCrosse and the Dart missiles in a combo package - which is really, really, rare too. I don't believe there were launcher/transporters in this set, though.

I left out the other missile kits - as they didn't include the launcher/transporter.

and

The Patriot launcher and and associated trailers run about $140 or so...the tractor to it runs about $90...

Glad I could help attracting you to the dark side #:-)

Gr,

Whenever I build a plane, I always go to the same process:
1. do the cockpit and paint
2. attach the parts
3. sand to be fine
4. paint
5. do the gears, wheels and weapons
6. fix it altogether
7. decals and final coating

I found AFV's more challenging. The big box parts are uneven. There are no similar steps in AFV's unlike AC's. Maybe I'll be doing some figs next time. :-)

In the Russian/Soviet SAM vein, there are a couple of more.

Skif does a MTBL based Sa-10 in 1/35th and Cromwell -??- does a resin conversion for the DML ZSU 23/4 chassis, Sa-6???.

Trumpeter is coming out with Sa-2's soon , with either the loading or launching cabin in Soviet or Chinese.

I don't know if you want to count the impending Skif or Panda Tunguska since it's more a Sam/AAA system and not a true TEL
