Tasca are to release a Sherman M4A3E8.

It's noted in a review by Saul Garcia's about decals over on track link.

He's reliable. Whooo hooo!

I'm anxious to see how it looks. I wonder what made them choose that variant as opposed to some of the others that really do need a good re-release. And that DD drive M4 would certainly be in high demand.

Great news! I'll be able to put my Archer Canadian Korean War transfers to good use on that one.

Can't wait to see this one. maybe able to do a couple descent "Strat" tanks in Korea, without having to kit bash or go mad on aftermarket stuff.

To me, that premium also pays for some level of assurance that it'll be pretty darn accurate and won't be needing much if any aftermarket once building starts. That's my experience with other Tasca kits (Sherman II, Sherman III, Luchs Pz II, Sherman Firefly VC)

Hello Pat

I have been watching this rumor grow.

Don`t believe everything you read on web so I can tell you there is no M4A3E8 in the near future.

The rumor mill is quite an interesting beast when it runs free.

However as it is a Sherman it is probably on our list of things to make.

Sincerely
Kevin Roberts

Hi Pat,

How about the M4 or a DD? If I remember correctly the first proposed Sherman on the Tasca site was a M4.

I do hope they blow us all away with a very neat DD and some cool interiors for their Sherman tanks!!

Pity they don't seem to have an interest in British Trucks, some great vehicles waiting to be done in 1/35 plastic.

Well, that's a bummer!! I was really hoping to see this beast receive the most amazin' Tasca treatment!!! Glad, though that they at least left the possibility open... I'm a patient man and they have a great product (I have two of their Shermans) so it will be worth the wait...

For second I thought it too good to be true, especially coming on the heels of Moebius Models' most-welcome announcement that they are re-popping the old Aurora "2001: A Space Odyssey" Moonbus kit, which has been a Holy Grail kit for sci fi modelers and has commanded a King's ransom on Ebay for some time. At least that one's still in play!

Anyway, thanks for reaching out to Tasca and getting the facts straight, Pat. Either way, sounds like there's more Shermans in our future and that's a good thing! Keep 'em coming Tasca (and don't forget that "Easy Eight"!)

Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.

No M4A3E8 ???
Well, I will wait patiently for the next Sherman they will be bringing out in the near future.

BTW, I love the upcoming panzer II C thats on the making right now.
Atleast thats what I think looking at the test shot off the tracks with the sprocket weel and a photo off a real Panzer II C on there site.

So what, I paid $65 for the Dragon M4 with the crappy directions, incorrect decals, limited marking options, etc. If the Tasca kit measures up to their usual quality, I think it would be worth the extra $.

That being said, I know that modeling costs have been getting excessive over the last few years but it doesn't seem like much can be done about it. The best you can hope for is that if you shell out big money for a kit, you get a quality product. Hopefully Tasca would deliver.
