I personally think that they look a little heavy handed.
If anyone needs info on PMC's drop me a line.

The more and more I see pics of this set in progress, the more I dislike them. The anatomy is off on a couple of them and the sculpts are simplified. The kneepads and holster straps should ovelay clothing, not look like a part of the pants. The fig in the kevlar looks like he got wham-o'd on his noggin and those chunky hands.
The only thing going for this set is the firearms which apparently, had a designer who didn't seem to hang around the watercooler to often and actually put the effort into a nice set of plastic. Now that they announced the weapons sets as buy alone kits, I won't have to purchase these goobers and add them to the stash of other badly sculpted Trump figs I already own.

I do love the box art, I have been a fan of Vince's work for years, does anyone keep in contact with him?

They are what they are, which is the only Plastic PMC kit on the market.

Beggers cant be choosers so to speak, and i'm sure that people will be able to use their artistic abilities to paint them in such a way that we will forget about slightly big hands and blended knee pads.

I reckon they look pretty good, and as i just said i choose to look beyond the unpainted stage and see what potential they have, so i look forward to getting my hands on this set.

No matter how you paint an ugly figure, it is what it is: a beautifully painted ugly figure.

A few swaps with hands from Hornet and a good paint job ought to do the trick. They are workable in my opinion. Chunky in size, so I'll more than likely use them in the back of a dio.

Hi Gentleman,

yesterday i became both sets of these guys from my local hobby shop. They are really nice done with some surprising good sculpting and Details. These are definitely the best Figures from Trumpeter at all. The heads are more comic like but with some good old hornet ones they will still looks great. As said before these are the only PMC on the market with exeption of NWM line. The hands are not good and not bad. But stiil looks better than some of the old Dragon Figures ones. The hands are seperate so you can pose them for exact fit. The wind googles in the other set are from transparent plastic and seperate. The real hammer are the weapons. They are the best 1/35 weapons on the market now. You have the choise of 4-5 different sight optics, laser indicator, grenade tubes to put under the barrels, handguards, seperate magazines where you can see also one bullet on top in the magazine , two diffrent pistols (baretta i think) one in open position like it´s emty. Amazing Detail. Also two pistol halfter . One with pistol in it and another without. You became four modern style M-4 carabiner in each set absolut perfect sculptet with all options to create your favourite weapon configuration. Two of it with short barrel and the other two with standart barrel and foregrip. So i think good Figures but the clou are the weapons and equipment which pays off the money. Both thumbs up for these sets. For more Questions feel free to ask.

Regards

im not sure how your definition of "beatifully sculpted is" but its not the defenition most modelers would like, the boots , they have simplified details and, the knee pads, there doesnt look like anythings holding them, the weapons are good , but the sculpts on the figures are bad and dont get me started about the hands. try to actually compare dragon 's 1/35 fig hands and these oversized blobs of plastic that trumpeter calls hands, heck their almost bigger than the guys head.

Hi Calvin,

first i never says that they beautiful or the best Figures on the Planet. I only says that they are the best Figures in Trumpeters Figures Line compared to their other sets. I think we should pleased with the fact that these kind of Figures (PMC) are aviable. Surely they are not the Level Dragons actual Figures sets have but they are still the only one aviable and you get not so badly Figures. The sets pay off for the Weapons and by the way you can see how the knee pads are holding by the straps. You can´t compare them with Figures from Alpine or Bravo-6. If you want perfect Details and hands than don´t buy them and wait till other Company´s bring them out. When you get Trumpeters Figures than you know that you can´t expect too much from it. That´s why they cost the half of an Resin Figure. Nobody force you or anybody else to buy these Figures but i can´t understand why all bleat about the quality. It´s a first step in that direction and with little luck other Companys produce such Figures in the Future. I think Trumpeter is getting better and better but you forget that this Company is not an Figure Producer. I think and have said before that these sets especially pay off for the Weapons an Beginner. If you are a hard core Resin Figure Modeler dont´by them or use the weapons in these sets for better Resin Figures. By the way, look at Verlindens Resin Figures. I think the Verlinden ones are a shame (weapons and anatomy from some of the modern sets) and you pay a lot more for these in Resin. But there you get good knee pads .

Everybody must know if he wants them but i´m pleased with them and i normaly bought Resin Figures from Companys like Alpine, Bravo-6 etc.. But i still can respect the work from other Companys which are not so blessed with great sculpters.

Regards

Stefan

i never said i wanted perfect, try to read my post, it wasnt meant to attack or insult.i was just saying that some of the details need refining, i never said anything about not respecting them, this is a neglected subject , so trumpeter deserves to be applauded for doing a uncommon subject. hopefully more will follow their steps. trumpeter is releasing the weapon sets seperately, im really excited on the m4 CQB versions.

Alvin, I agree with you 100%. Of course these are not the top notch in figure´s kits, but may end in some good figures for a dio....
I know some people will be happy with this, while other people will prefer to wait the release of some "Michelangelo´s" kind of models (even taking in account that the right hand of the David statue is evidently out of scale)
My thums up to Trumpeter for trying and releasing really new stuff

They aren't actually Blackwater USA PMC's, they are just generic PMC's, but could easily be used to depict said company.

I recieved both sets of these figs today and in a couple of words: very hit and miss. Lots of parts look clunky, stubby, poor/ soft detail and on and on and on. The pouches and hats and other gear are nice, to include the weapons. Everything else is gonna go into the parts bin.

I got the two pmc kits today from spruebrothers and ......well....i am so disappointed the figures are whats a polite way to say it? A complete pile of steaming dog poop.

The pouches are nice but the large side bags are clunky but might serve a purpose in the parts bin. I like the open pouches with exposed ammo mags nice touch.
The backpacks don't fit with out a lot of trimming. The body's are short and chunky very cartoony really do they have a cartoon about the war in iraq on tv in china? that could be the only way to describe the way they look. The faces like in other trump modern figure sets look disfigured or in some mortal pain or constipated?? The is no way i will mix these in to my other figures they will stick out like sore thumbs. The biggest plus is the weapons and the add ons for them scopes, grips, ammo magazines very very nice. One that isn't nice is the pistol it seems so tiny compared to others i have.

In the end i should have just bought verlindens iraq,a-stan/ special forces and been able to make PMC's from those kits or made them into special forces because PMC or SpecFo who can tell the difference?
