Does anyone know the max length of the rope/cable on a WW II 2 1/2 ton truch winch?

Chuck I am not sure of the lenght but I put the 'rope' on the winch drum until it is 1mm from the edge of the drum sides. (3/32 in). Also the string in the Tamiya kit is too large in Diameter for the scale. Hope this helps. :-)
