Just picked up the new Squadron Walk Around US Tank Destroyers.
(copyright 2003, so I guess its new, new to me at least).
79 pages of various close up shots (B&W and color) with a couple of color plates with drawings to depict camo schemes. Pictures of about every detail you could think of (maybe not every)...perfect for those super-detailers / scratchbuilders who like to improve on a "stock kit". Didn't know if any body had seen this yet...I didn't even know it was coming out. Great book though.

Yea I picked up the book also. Would have been great 10 years ago when all we had were the old Tamiya M-10 and M-36 kits or some resin M-10 and M-18. With today's kits I would say it is a nice reference, not a must have book though. I would recommend it for those who are hardcore US Armor fans or someone going thru an AMS attack.

Thanks for the info. I have had a tendency to buy massive amounts of reference books before embarking on a project. The last purchase was for the Nuclear Enterprise. Bought the detail and scale book which didn't offer anything that I hadn' already found on the internet. So I'll pass on this one. I've got an M-18 Hellcat planned for the Tank Destroyer Campaign.

I got this book last week at the local hobby shop. It's a nice addition for TD fans.
Cookie Sewell did a review of it over at HyperScale
