TIA
Ken

Ken, Im guessing you mean the M113 variant not the soviet fighter...
Verlinden makes/made a resin and PE fitter, and Academy does one in plastic. Even if it is OOP it should not be too hard to find.

Yes Mike, the M113 version.
Any idea what the kit # of the Verlinden kit is/was?

Josh, are you familiar with the Academy kit? If so, would I be better off just using/borrowing/robbing the one from the Academy kit? I just want the crane for an ?M3/M5? Zhalen Fitters Halftrack.

Thanks a ton Marcel!

Now we're cooking with gas! Yee hawww!
Does this conversion use the Tamiya M21 kit as it's basis? How are AEF's kits?

If you can find them, they're not bad as a guide to scratchbuilding the conversion. I've used 2 or 3 and tossed out more parts on the M151 scout and TOW support vehicles than I used. A lot of warping and very poor instructions are typical.

I contacted them this morning asking which of the Tamiya kits to use. He replied with
"Right now, it is for any kit. As I include the winch. Eventually it will be for the M-16 kit, only." Tony
Huh? Marcel or Josh, any thoughts on which kit you think is best for the conversion? I would think the M21.

I spoke to Tony at A.E.F. Designs yesterday evening and ordered the kit. He said the M16 is the best kit to build off of. Very nice guy BTW.
Bummer is I have to wait about a month for the kit to arrive. At least it'll give me time to do more research on the vehicle.
...Now, any ideas where I can find some info on the "WWW" including pics on her?
TIA
