Hey fellus

I was pondering about stowage on the side of my M4A1 turret. i see all these Shermans with with 1/35 knapsacks simply glued onto the side of the turret, i was thinking about doing this to my old Tamyia M4 Early type, however, if i do glue these knapsacks on the side of the turret, will it be incorrect. Or were the knapsacks bolted or riveted onto the turret in World War II.

can someone explain please

thanks

Gunner,
In all the photos I have seen, the knapsacks and such were usually strapped to grab handles and tied down handles. Sometimes the crews welded racks and such (using scrap metal) for extra stowage. They strapped them to these racks. If you look in the Gallery section, under Armor reference you should find a pic of a Sherman with Knapsacks attached to the back of the turret. Hope this helps.

hey again

So no M4A1 crews or any American WWII tank crews bolt ammo sacks or knapsacks to the side of the turret.

If not, how would i go about immitating grab handles or something to hang the knapsacks off the side of the turret

thanks

thanks
