I am rather amazed by the recent "Where do you live" poll. It basically eliminates the mis-conception that this is an "American" site. Which is fine with me because I love the idea of Armorama being an international community. I am even more amazed at the percentage of Asian (continent) users. Where are all you guys?? Certainly we have picked up more and more regular users in Asia, but obviously we have a large silent group of users here that don't interact as much as some of our other regions.

So if you are one of these Asian poll respondents and you haven't posted in the forum before... why not? I would assume it's a language thing...but they didn't seem to have trouble reading the poll question. So I am baffled.

I live in the Philippines. My hometown is Surigao City. It is a small quiet place located just beside the sea on the island of Mindanao. No Abu Sayyaf or MILF insurgents there. It's two hours away from Siargao, a surfer's paradise. Temperatures range between 27C during the rainy season and 35C during the summer.

I work in Metro Manila, the country's capital. It's a bustling metropolis with lots of traffic, dust, heat, noise and people. Only advantage is that most of the country's hobby shops are located here
