I’m going to Munster this Saturday to see the panzermuseum… But I haven’t been able to get on to their website (www.panzermuseum.com), it is blank!

Therefore I don’t know when they open or close in this weekend!
– Does anyone have this information?

Thanks in advance!

Hy guys!

A lot of fun there clausen!
I heard a lot of good things, but I never went there personaly
Maybe next year, when there's a small exhibition again.

@ DutchBird
The name of this city/museum is Munster, not Münster!!!
Münster is a city in near the netherlands/german border, where I live.
Munster is in the Lüneburger Heide, more north and east than Münster.

We want a full report!

I was fortunate to visit there in 1997 as a side trip from a work assignment. All I can say is: WOW!
Absolutely fantastic! If you ever get the opportunity to visit that north-central part of Germany, make sure you see the Panzermuseum!

I just came back from my trip to Munster Panzermuseum… This was actually my third visit there!
They got a fantastic and well preserved collection of tanks! Certainly a trip worthy!
(Unfortunately my digital camera is broken, and I don not own a scanner!)

By the way… A few years ago I visited the tank museum in Saumur France. (Highly recommended!!!)
I photographed their Tiger I. (It was fitted with the narrower transport tracks, had some quite distinct battle damage and I noticed that the muzzlebrake was turned a little to the side.)
This weekend I saw the exact same Tiger I in Munster! Different camo scheme – But definitely the same tank! – Does anybody know how this can happen? Did the French borrow the tank, or is it the other way round?

I thought it was the same tank too. I was there last week and just how many tigers have that dent on the frong slope? I took like 300+ photo's, but not one of the dent, that I can find. I think they trade for a while because the last time I was there, the tiger was in France (like you said!). It was a way cool experence and HIGHLY recommended to anyone visiting Germany. Also liked the was they redid the front, last time it was a little door with no booth and left you wondering where to go.

Puma112,

So I'm not the only one who noticed this!

You're right about their entrance! It sure has improved the experience!
