Hobby Boss has been coming out with some new PLA armor vehicles that look really cool. I would like to get the new ZTZ-99B main battle tank and apply the same digital camo scheme as seen in the image below. It seems like all PLA armor vehicles are going to this new digital camo scheme. How should I go about airbrushing this scheme on the model once I get it?
Here are some other PLA armor vehicles that I hope Hobby Boss or any other manufacturer produces later on in 1/35 scale.
This is one of the more eye-catching but then again tedious camo schemes. I'd approach it like a normal 3-tone camo scheme by painting each color seperately (the order of color is entirely up to you) but the real difference lies in masking. Using a putty to mask out the edges would be near impossible? if I'm not mistaken so you'd have to cut some masking tape or foil to the appropriate shape and size before hand. Crack out your ruler and a pencil, this could take a while but the result would be rewarding, I'd love to see it.

Yes indeed that is going to be a most difficult undertaking. After the release of all those digital cammo picsI too was and am very interested in attempting this as well. It appears as tho only a massive frisket endevor will be the solution. Lets also hope HB will release many of these new armour vehicles seen at the 60th anniversary parade as well.

Great news Gaoyue. This is a terrific little APC, the master is looking wonderful. Please keep us updated with the progress of this kit. Will there be many other variations of this vehicle?
