Hi Guys, I am reviewing the second set of PMC'S with the VIP. Can anyone tell me what body armour the VIP is wearing, it looks similar to the one film crews wear.

It is lightweight body armor similar to the type worn by newsmen and filmcrews. There are many manufacturers and I can't tell which it is supposed to be. They are all pretty similar though.

The vest is modeled after the TP-1E. We used them in Somalia. US Navy SEALS have used them in the past also. They are a simple plate carrier with cummerbund.

I'm aware that the Blackhawk.com website is popular among folk intending to purchase modulor vests and chest rigs for Private Security work in Iraq, I dont have a link but a quick google might find what your looking for..

That particular version of body armor was never made by BHI, Eagle, LBT, DBT,or TT.
My issue one was made by Point Blank. These were around in the early 90s.
