I think Hobby Fan makes a dove tail conversion for the Italeri M923A1 and M925 which would allow you to make an M931, M931A1, M931A2, M932, M932A1 or M932A2 depending on which base kit you bought.

The photo of kit #35060 Semi Trailer for M931 shows what is called an S&P (stake and post) trailer. The official name is M127 Semitrailer, Stake, 12-ton, 4-wheel. Main hauler for divisional logistical untis such as the Forward or Main Support Battalion. Always called just an "S and P", never heard it called anything else.

well, it looks like MR has improved the "dovetail" kit...my wheels in particular were pretty crappy. I cannot tell if they have worked on the warping issue...

Guys,
I built the Real Models kit. By the way, we use to call them "Bob Tails." Its a good conversion kit. very simple. I also have the #35060 trailer kit. That is a bear to put together. You have to cut all the plugs from the post and each panel. the axles was casted pretty badly. May be it was just my kit, because Real ussually puts out good stuff.
Anyways, thats my two cents.
By the way, the is a picture of my completed kit in the Photo Gallery, under "Bob Tail."

greyhunter...don't worry, i got you, I am just mentally damaged when it comes to posting either MR or RM...SIGH, gotta lay off the glue fumes...
ANYHOW, the RM kits mentioned have some issues. I have the S&P trailer too for the M931 and I think I have a better kit than Epi. But again, the tires in the picture for the M931 look better than my kit, so it looks like they have improved them. i noticed the tires in the M931 kit are worse than the ones in the S&P, so maybe my tractor is from a earlier run?
Also, Rob correct me if I am wrong, but the Stakes and Posts can be removed to make a "normal" flatbed to haul vehicles as well, correct? I have pictures of what appears to be such a "conversion" but have not been able to find one lately with my digital camera, and my older pics are, let us say, undifinative.

I have never seen the Real Models kits described here, but I have two other of their sets: update set for M923 truck and wheels set for MAN truck. Quality of both sets is rather poor - details are not very good, accuracy is questionable, mold quality not the best - wheels for MAN truck have poorly molded tread pattern and are more egg-shaped than round! I will have to use hot water to try to make them round... The wheels on the picture posted by GreyHunter also don't look perfectly round to me. And some parts there are the same as in my M923 update set, and they are not so great.
So I suggest to be careful with Real Models - their prices may be lower, but their quality is not the best around.
Rgds,
Pawel

Yes, that is correct. The sides pull up and can be left off but are normally laid flat and tied down. This allows forklifts to load/unload from any angle. Also, Rob correct me if I am wrong, but the Stakes and Posts can be removed to make a "normal" flatbed to haul vehicles as well, correct?

I have a Real Model M931 conversion set also. Since its assembly instruction is too much simplified, is there anybody know : on RM35058 in box picture which Greyhunter provided in previous reply , the part at the right below side of the 3rd wheel from the left and below the break drum, where should I place it ? Is it a useless part ?
