Hi Guys. It's me again. A couple of days ago, while browsing my neighbourhood hobby shop, I ran into a Jordi Rubio gun barrel and mantlet. Almost bought it. The reason I didn't, is that on the back of the package it says that the barrel and mantlet are for the early version of Jagdpanther. I have the Tamiya kit (35203) which is a late version. My question: Will the Jordi Rubio barrel and mantlet fit my model or not? I was looking on the Internet for some specs, but all of them say that it was fitted with the same gun, but still I am not sure (why would Rubio mention that is for the early version if all versions had the same gun?). Please help me.

Sebastian-
As far as I can tell, the "early" barrel will not work on the late version. The reason being, that the late version of the barrel has a pronounced "step" in it about 1/4 of the way down from the mantlet. The early version of the barrel did not have this step. I hope that helps.

Sebastian;
Yes, it is the same gun. But the early Jagdpanther and Tiger II with Porsche turret used a one piece barrel. The later version of both were equipped with the new two piece barrel; which why there is the "pronounced step" in the tube.
