Hi Guys,
I am currently trying to rebuild my old TAMIYA M48A3 into an early version A3. However I can't figrure out how the old (round) VSS-1 searchlight was mounted. Has anyone got any detail shots of this area or can you direct me on how to mount it??
thanks for your help!

Doesn't the Dragon M50 Super Sherman come with one? I'm not sure of the nomenclature of that searchlight, but the kit box has a picture of a big round searchlight. Perhaps the Academy kit comes with one as well.

What about the one provided in the DML Korean War M46 kit ? I don't have reference pics of the VVS-1 at hand but they look similar (the M46 one is a 18" General Electric searchlight...)

Well, if anyone has a spare one or two I'll certainly put them to good use.

Hi Guys,
thanks for your help Chuck, I owe you one , the searchlight I use comes from the DML M46 kit, it'll have to be modified a bit and detailed of course, but it's a good base. I got a real cheak M46 @ ebay, partly assembled and use it as my scratch-parts-yard now
