Hi guys,

does somebody know how this turret looks?
Maybe i going to buy one but i am not sure about.
I would like to know how the commander cupola is attached on the turret?
Is there the typical welding seam on the left side where the cupola match the turret? Could someone provide me a picture from the turret?
OR: should i wait for the Dragon kit with the stamped turret and the comander cupola?

thanks for your help

Igor

Hi Igor:
several different turrets for T-34 in the WWII period, but I guess you need the info about the late T-34/85 with the big turret?
I have a pic for you had hope they're useful.

Igor, you mean the formochka turrets from UZTM... The cupola was welded on, as with other tanks.

I have not seen the CMK turret. It is old, probably made for the Tamiya kit, and may just be the Tamiya turret with a cupola added. The DML turret is much more accurate, although who knows if they will do a version with the comander's cupola?

DML's kit #6564 includes the cupola for a hexagonal turret, and also has the roof and hatches for a regular tank (with later cast rubber-tired wheels). It should not be hard to take that turret and fix itt to the formochka turret.

Here are some images of formochka turrets with cupolas:
