Do these two tanks use the same tracks? In photos they look extremely similar.

Hey Rob. I checked my local hobbyshops pages and for the fruilmodel numbers and they are different!
ATL-51 --180 links for KV-I/II, 90 with and 90 without Guide horns

ATL-54--180 links for JS-1/2/3,ISU-122/152, 90 with and 90 without Guide horns
ATL-34--180 links for JS 3 ( even JS 1-2 )
ATL-14--180 links for Josef Stalin ( JS )

As usual this is only the fruil guide. Im sure, and has been seen time and time again, that there were substitutes and modifications as well.
Another thing..... I know nothing on the subject either!!

Hey Rob,

The KV and IS shared the same track although there are two different tracks. The first track is a split track with alternating guid-horns. The other is the horned track without the split rail.

The split track was one factory (Zavard) attempt to reduce costs. These did have some problems but the overall pressure on the ground was the same as the other track.

Hope this helps,
Dave
