Does it work? Let me know. I am not going to go the Cavalier way, or the PE way. So those are off the table right now. Also, no hot knife method. I am strictly going putty. Tamiya putty job on king tiger turned out shi**y. I feel that I am more experienced and ready for the zimmerit challenge.

Thanks!

Not done it myself, but here's a "how-to" on applying Milliput Zimmerit

It works for sure, but it's not the easier way. I use it to replicate weld seams and the result is absolutely realistic, but is not easy for zimmerit, at least in my view, to exactly match the Milliput thickness for all the relevant areas...

I normally use milliput

but I read somewhere that did it with a soldering iron and the back of an exacto knife

wich means you get a heavy duty exacto knife you take a small series blade and put it in their around backwards
you attach a copper wire 2 the blade and to the soldering iron
and then you start 2 make the zim
be carefull tough test it on very old model
if you dont like dont use
but I liked and I got some nice results
but I also love my milliput or the zim sets that you can get from verlinden or other after market products
