Hi...
I just finished my Syrian BMP-1, and I'm very glad with the general aging work I did on it. However there is soemthing anoying: the Sagger missile is painted chrome silver and it's too shining.
How would you correct this problem? I Applied a wash with black acrylic and water, and then a wash with real dust and water. Still too shining.

Try scuffing the pain surface. Steel wool, burlap sack cloth, or even some 2000+ grit sandpaper. Also, some flat laquer should knock the shine back a bit.

Hi Ricargo
You could try applying a matt coat to dull the chrome look and then weathering with pastels, before sealing with another matt coat.
Hope this helps
