Hello guys, this is my first diorama in years. It's a Nam scene using the old Tamiya's M113 ACAV (please God of Plastic make a Trumpeter o Dragon new M113!!!) and Dragon figures (1° cavalry and US MArines "Thet Offensive"). I use Legend productions accesories, and some scratch. Hope you like:

For a first one you demonstrated some good talent.
I will add a lot of dust to start with on all the jungle fatigues.
I am not a figure painter expert but you need to change the way you are painting the eye you should have a first dark layer black or prussian blue and then make to dot in white to represent the iris.
Concerning the M113 you forgot to glue the handle from the jerrycans on the rear.
You can drill the barrel of the M2.
I am sure that you can see the work of Chas Young on this website and a fellow spanish modeler aka Csako he doing great jungle for the inspiration.

Academy makes a decent M113A3 but a Dragon or Trump. M113 series would be nice.
About the figures, I have heard a few figure modelers talk of not painting eyes at all. This is due to the fact that in scale you wouldnt be able to see the eye because its so small. Just a thought as you paint more figures.
I believe the ammo belt for the M60 should also be naturally draped out of the side of the gun and not straight but you cant really control that other than just deleting the ammo belt all togeather.
Good work.

Adrian,
Great job coming out of the shute. Check out some of the articles on figure painting to refine your skills and continue to practice, practice, practice. You will improve with each set you do. There are several articles to choose from here on Armorama, so go for it. Your ground work is good too for you first try. What I find works for me is to study other artists work carelfully and read the articles related to ground w2ork as well and eventually you will be able to identify their techniques as you build your skills. This is a very rewarding hobby as long as you don't get discouraged and keep going. We all gotta start somewhere and it looks like you are off to a great start, so keep going and don't stop.
Ruck over, Ski.

take your ammo belt, super glue to a chopstick. heat with blow dryer until it bends and has a natural fall look to it. use nail polish remover[ acetone ]to remove belt from chopstick, hope this helps.

A few boo boos, but otherwise not bad at all. Nobody is perfect. Funny thing about dioramas. You may build one and think its great. Put it away for a while and when you go to dust it or display it for show and tell, you will see and improve all sorts of things that you missed . Photograph the thing with a good macro lens and you will notice good and bad details that might not have stood out at first. I like the red clay groundwork. Nice job...........Al

Adrian,
Wow, what a lot to look at.
Every photo here stands alone and shows it's own piece of the story well. Great expressions on the figures, especially the crouching figure looking off to his right.
You did a lot of extras for what might at first glance look fairly simple.
Thanks for this one.

Nice diorama mate, looks great although there are a few minor corrections to make. Looks like the helmet is on backwards on the dashing soldier next to the crouching M79 soldier. Also with the M60 machine gun, the ammunition is fed from the left hand side and empty casing ejected from the right. Just swap the ammunition belt around and it should be good. Great work!

Thank you for your comments guys, you are very kind.
This diorama was build 1 year ago. Today, of couse, I can see lots of mistakes, and lots of good things. The importan is grow and accept critics in a good way. A didin do any news dioramas since "Hell in the jungle", but I make lots of 1/35 AFV's, and of course, inprove my skills painting figures. Examples:
