Hi Guys,
I am looking for some 1/35 German painters/whitewashers. If anybody has a pair they can spare, I would consider trading for 1/35 Tamiya U.S. Infantry(8 figures) or to buy.
TIA
Matt N.

For trades please post to the Buy Sell Trade discussion group. But you're going to have to be very specific about what you're looking for. And on that note, are you making a general enquiry about the availability of German painters? Or are you looking for a specific set?
Out of curiosity, I thought you already had a set on order though? Are you looking to add more painters to the scene?

Also, I have on order Verlinden Panzer mechanics and two figures painting.

no such kit. to be more specific, 251/9 stummel is a 1/72 vehicle kit. sorry if I pissed you off, but no hard feelings.

Hey, no worries - kinda explains why you weren't pushing that avenue in the other thread

Nope, Geraint's correct. The kit he's referring to is Tamiya 35147 "German SdKfz.251/9 Kanonenwagen".

There are plenty of generic overall wearing german figure sets - Tamiya Ammo loading crew, Tamiya engine maintenance crew, Miniart tank maintenace crew sets 1 and 2, but for a DAK scene you'd more likely see them in shorts, boots and hats and little else so maybe something like the Miniart germans at work set.

Dean,
I was thinking the same Masterbox has a new motorcycle repair crew out in sleeves and shorts, not quite the official working dress, but it'll work for either mechanics or painters (with the addition of brushes )

I think verlinden sells a set, but if memory serves they're tankers and are titled "Whitewashing" or something to that effect. 2 questions/inputs. Wouldn't they be using a spray gun rather than a brush? Brush painting a Tiger would take a VERY long time. and either brush or spraying, is the Tiger going to be in its original base color with only a portion of the tank being painted with whatever color the painters are using to give dimension to the work they're doing? just a thought. Enjoy.

Actually, I'm thinking they will be repainting some of the markings that have seen better days.
