Hi guys,
I was wondering whether existed a detail set for either Italeri's Commando Car, or Tamiya's SAS Jeep, that's it I want to get a good quality Vickers 303.
So i read AlanL's review on Resiscast's Vickers, but it's too much different from the plane version (?) as used on those Jeeps.
Alternatively, if I didn't have any other way than to buy either Italeri's Jeep or Tamiya's to get the gun, in which set is the gun the most detailed?
Thanks for viewing!

Hi jba,
The early 1914 version would have also been used on the LDRG trucks so the Resicast Set woulkd give you a good option there.
You are correct there were many versions, and the smooth type you are looking for is not included in the set.
However, these to me look like the ribbed type?
If you look here:
http://www.vickersmachinegun.org.uk/
You will see both types have the similar barrel. Either option would be appropriate for the early desert period as far as I am able to tell.
Cheers

Thank you Al -indeed if I wanted to do a LRDG vehicle I would have use the Resicast set no problem, but the fact is that i want to fit the gun in an Avro Anson like turret
But thanks really for the link as it will surely be useful for further reference!
