Better Late than Never! Here is my AFV Club M548 finished. I replaced the kit track with HKCW Diehl track and used Grief lenses for the headlights, turn indicators and brake lights. TheCFR plate and tac signs are from thr Archer Canadian IFOR/SFOR set. I modified the MG mount to accept a 30 cal (rebarrelled to 7.62)(POS at the time)I painted the beast with Testors Modelmaster paints.

Lovely kit! Is that the tarps that came with the kit or did you cover it with tissue and white glue for texture? It looks amazing! I love these types of vehicles. Nice one!!

I covered the kit tarp with tissue. glued it down just with liquid cement, enough to soften the plastic so the tissue would adhere. At the lower edge I left a bit with masking tape backing. i suppose I should thread the tie down line since I took the effort to add the tie downs. I guess I don't want to ruin the tissue.

Maybe if you drilled little holes straight through plastic and all, it would hold. Thats a lovely tarp job and would only be better with some tie-downs!

That's what I did with mine and it adds a nice touch to the kit.
I like the look of Paul's model. It's nice to see a different camo scheme from the regulars. Good work.

Scoccia,
They a little scale plastic lenses that come in all sizes and colors. A lot of folks use them to replace kit lenses. I have been looking for an on line source but the oine's I have found so far seem to be down.

Scoccia,
Here is one source:
https://www.modelmecca.com/cgi-bin/shop.pl?category=all&scale=all&manufacturer=GF&type=all&inactive=all&location=all&price=all&description=&partnumber=&go=Search&offset=0
You mayy have to go a couple of pages forward...
There may be a source closer to you but at least this will give you some idea what you are after...

Looks nice fredenburg...at least yours looks better than the real ones I had to help recover...!
as for lenses, there are also MV lenses as well to make those headlights "shine". But your best bet to find lenses is in a well stocked model railroad shop...they should have something, model railroad guys have been using them for decades.
