Hi everybody !!

I´m planning to build this vehicle (Trumpeter´s), but want to add the engine compartment and transmision if posible, so the question is:

Somebody knows if there is an aftermarket engine and transmision for this kit, have pictures of it, or if maybe can I use another engine?

I´m not expert in this vehicle so any information you can give me will be appreciate.

Thanks

Blackwoodie

Hi

You'll find some Shilka engine and transmission pics here :
http://www.dishmodels.ru/wshow.htm?p=900
maybe they'll help even if the engine is a different variant of the V-6 engine. AFAIK, the ZSU-23-4 is fitted with a V-6P1 whereas the SA-6 is fitted with a V-6R

Thanks for the reply guys !!

I manage to get the SA-6 Gainful in detail book from W&W Publications they use a 2P25 (M3) vehicle in various pictures and mention that it uses a V6R Water Cooled Diesel Engine with 6 cylinders in Line and 6 gear manual transmition.

Now another question
In the book they mention M1,M2 and M3 variants of this vehicle, can somebody tell me the main diferences of them ?

Thanks for your time

As noted, changes are electronic and/or missile related. Some countries have retrofitted new "parts" for the system, and there are various upgrades proposed like the one with US Built "Sparrow" missiles with the appropriate guidance system.
